Professor Lyman hosts 20 of his UM SMTD colleagues and students in a program of miniature masterpieces by Igor Stravinsky. Music for one, two, four and eight players including Stravinsky’s arrangement of “La Marseillaise” for solo violin, the Three Pieces for clarinet solo, the Elegy for viola solo, the Tango for piano, Lied ohne Name for two bassoons, Fanfare for a New Theatre, Valse des Fleurs, Suite Italienne, the Owl and the Pussy-Cat, Three Pieces for String Quartet, Three Songs from William Shakespeare, Three Easy Pieces for Piano Duet, Berceuses du Chat, Elegy for JFK and the Octet for Winds.
