As the opening work on the SMTD Faculty Showcase Concert, Professors Amy Porter (flute), Jeffrey Lyman (bassoon) and Ana Maria Otamendi (piano) perform the Duetto Concertato sopra motivi del Maestro Verdi (1851). This virtuoso showpiece composed by Pietro Morlacchi and Antonio Torriani features melodies by their friend Giuseppe Verdi woven into a fantasy on music from I Lombardi, I Masnadieri and Macbeth.
